Learning aim
This session will provide a guide to achieving predictable results in a general practice setting based on the current evidence base.
Learning objectives
Discuss 8 steps that are key to achieving predictable results:
- Identifying the cause: history and diagnosis
- Access and assessment
- Mechanical instrumentation
- Canal irrigation
- Intra-canal medication
- Obturation
- Provisional restoration
- Coronal seal
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will:
- be familiar with the key aspects of achieving consistent results in orthograde endodontics
- be familiar with the evidence base
- able to identify areas of their endodontic practice for further training.
Contents
The course comprises
- Presentation
The presentation (approximately 1 hour, 25 questions) is divided into sections with a review quiz to help assess how much information you have retained. On completion of each quiz the answers can be reviewed together with the correct responses.
- Answers and feedback
Once you have passed the quiz you may view all the questions together with the correct answers and feedback.
- Evaluation
An optional evaluation that helps us assess how well the course has fulfilled your educational requirements, and what you would like to see in future courses.
- Discussion forum
If you have questions that you would like to ask following the presentation or would like to see what others are talking about, the forum is the place to visit.
About the presenter Dr Robinson has extensive experience in postgraduate teaching both nationally and internationally.
He is the lead subject expert for the multi-award-winning CD-ROM "Pulp Afflictions", and author of the popular monthly clinical feature in Dental Practice "Robinson's Referrals".

Using the on-demand webinars is simple. You will require the following:
- A PC/Apple Macintosh with a broadband connection
- Basic computer skills
The on-demand webinars are recordings of our live webinars which have been edited and added to a learning course. You view the presentation answering quiz questions on what you have seen. On completion of the presentation and the quizzes you are provided with the answers to each of the quiz questions along with feedback on each question.
The On-demand webinars are recordings of the Live Webinars which take place monthly. The live events are very interactive allowing participants to interact with other users and pose questions to the presenter. The on-demand webinars have less interactivity but because they are recordings they are available to view at your convenience - you can start and stop, picking up where you left off. The on-demand webinars also have the added benefit of quiz questions, which test your knowledge of the presentation you have watched and help you to absorb more information.
For best results we recommend using both services to fully engage in the learning and development process.
A single purchase of each course gives you up to 60 days access. With an annual subscription you are given unlimited access to all courses, and can use this access as general CPD. Each month a new webinar recording is published, to which subscribers will gain free access with CPD certification for 60 days. To gain CPD certification for any older courses in our library that have been viewed, annual subscribers receive a 10% discount on the individual course price.
