- Impact of vCJD and emerging pathogens on infection control in the dental surgery
- Design features of decontamination suites

By the end of the session you will have updated your knowledge on the new decontamination guidelines published by the Department of Health and be aware of how they affect your practice.
About the Presenter
Dr Caroline Pankhurst BSc PhD BDS MSC MRCPath (Specialist in Oral Microbiology) is a dentist and was a Clinical Senior Lecturer, Oral Microbiology, King’s College London Dental Institute. Now she is actively involved in postgraduate dental education and training. She is a freelance infection control consultant to Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham PCTs and Southern Health Board, Northern Ireland and was a member of Decontamination in Primary Care committee at the Department of Health. She is the author of “Control of Infection Guidelines for General Dental Practice” now in its third edition, and is the co-author of a new book entitled Basic Guide to Prevention and Infection Control in Dentistry. Currently she is appointed to Editorial Boards of “Primary Dental Care” and BMC Oral Health. She was President of BDA Metropolitan Branch in 2006.

A webinar is an online seminar that you watch via your PC from the comfort of your home or office. You watch the presentation, listen to the speaker, and interact with other viewers. It should take no more than 15 minutes and we are sure you will be impressed! We also open the webinar session an hour early on the day of the event so that you can login early. A freephone number is available for any technical difficulties once the event has started.
Yes, you can submit questions to the presenter anytime before or during the webinar by email or by using the chat window. Questions will be addressed during the question and answer session.
