DentalPhotographyLearning aim

Steve Wilson discusses how photographs can be used to enhance your practice, what you need and how to take great pictures.

Learning objectives

  • To provide a jargon free introduction to dental photography to enable dentists to take good quality dental photographs for use in case studies, patient education and practice marketing
  • The webinar aims to be interactive with a pre-session questionnaire to establish participant’s experience; examples of good and bad practice and a “troubleshooting” advice section

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session participants should be able to:

  • describe the various different systems available for dental photography
  • list the uses of dental photographs, their presentation and storage
  • employ the techniques described for their own dental photography
  • critically evaluate their own photographs to inform future practice

Contents

The course comprises

  • Presentation

The presentation (1 hour, 30 questions) is divided into sections with a review quiz within each to help assess how much information you have retained. On completion of each quiz the answers can be reviewed together with the correct responses.

  • CPD certification quiz (30 questions)

The certification quiz contains all the questions in the same order as given in the presentation but you have only one attempt at each. The pass mark is 70%; if you have completed and reviewed the presentation thoroughly you should score 100%! If you score less than 70% make a note of the questions answered incorrectly then review the relevant parts of the presentation and repeat the quiz.

Questions

Click the questions below to read the answers.

Using the on-demand webinars is simple.  You will require the following:

  • A PC/Apple Macintosh with a broadband connection
  • Basic computer skills

The on-demand webinars are recordings of our live webinars which have been edited and put into a learning course.  You view the presentation answering quiz questions on what you have seen.  At the end of the course the quiz questions are presented again which you must answer correctly (pass mark of 70%) in order to get your CPD certificate.

The On-demand webinars are recordings of the Live Webinars which take place monthly. The live events are very interactive allowing participants to interact with other users and pose questions to the presenter.  The on-demand webinars have less interactivity but because they are recordings they are available to view at your convenience - you can start and stop, picking up where you left off. The on-demand webinars also have the added benefit of quiz questions, which test your knowledge of the presentation you have watched and help you to absorb more information.

For best results we recommend using both services to fully engage in the learning and development process.

A single purchase of each course gives you up to 60 days access. With an annual subscription you are given unlimited access to all courses. Each month a new webinar recording will become available which you will gain free access to with CPD certification. To gain CPD certification for any older courses annual subscribers receive a 10% discount on the course price.

The Dental-Channel system is compatible with the major web browsers. For best results we recommend the most recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
