About the Presenter
Dr Caroline Pankhurst, a very popular and highly respected presenter on The Dental Channel, is a dentist and Clinical Senior Lecturer in Oral Microbiology at King’s College London Dental Institute.
She is actively involved in postgraduate dental education and training. She is currently a freelance infection control consultant to Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham PCTs and was a member of Decontamination in Primary Care committee at the Department of Health.
Dr Pankhurst is the author of “Control of Infection Guidelines for General Dental Practice”, now in its third edition, and is the co-author of a new book entitled “Basic Guide to Prevention and Infection Control in Dentistry”.
She is a Trustee of the Fungal Research Trust and was President of the Metropolitan Branch of the British Dental Association in 2006.
