Aims
- To update the dental team’s knowledge regarding cross infection with particular reference to dental impressions
- Illustrate how to disinfect impressions using ImpreSafe
Objectives
The topics will cover:
- the organisms responsible for transmitting disease in the dental environment;
- how infection can be transmitted;
- a summary of the guidelines and requirements for best practice;
- who is responsible for disinfection;
- the disinfection procedure with ImpreSafe.
Intended outcomes
On completion you will understand
- why impressions should be disinfected
- and how this can be achieved simply and easily.
Instructions
- View the presentation: your progress is bookmarked so you may return to the last topic viewed
NB If you do not complete the course in one sitting make sure that when you leave you close the presentation and exit the course. If you do not do this your progress may not be recorded correctly.
- Your CPD certificate will be available from
