A (very quick) guide to our new website

A (very quick) guide to our new website

It's been a long time coming, but here at last is our new website and we hope that you like what you find. It should feel familiar but there are a myriad of improvements to explore.

Learning Hub (CPD Library)

The new Learning Hub

Our core service remains our multi award-winning live and on-demand training for quality-assured CPD.

A brand new Learning Hub makes it much easier to see what you are enrolled in, what you have started, what you have done and and what you might like to do.

The  courses are complemented by their own social discussion groups, so following up the training with other members is easier and more convenient than ever.

You can recommend courses to friends and see their recommendations for you.

Courses

Course page; everything visible from one screen.

The courses have been changed so that everything is visible from one screen.

Quickly view the course content, who is presenting it, and comments from other members.

The presentations have been redesigned to work across desktop, laptop and mobile devices. Start on your desktop, continue on your phone and complete on your tablet; it doesn't matter.

They also have some neat new facilities including the ability to make notes and comments to share with others.

Live webinars

Live webinar course: everything is accessed from a single screen

Our live events have been streamlined:

  • All the event information and activities are on one screen;
  • You no longer need to enter your name when entering the room;
  • Certification is automated;
  • Automated reminders are sent;
  • You can add the event to your mobile (or other) calendar.

The Social Side

We all know that conversations with colleagues or those you meet at events can be just as valuable as formal training. This is why we have implemented a new community service to the site, where members can interact in all sorts of ways. It is also tied in with the formal CPD courses, so we hope that this will help you combine formal with informal learning.

A separate discussion forum complements the social discussions.

Your activities earn you points and awards, so as you complete the CPD courses, comment in discussions and help other members your kudos builds!

And there of course is this blog. This is not just for The Dental Channel team; if you are a member you are welcome to submit your own for publication here.

Support

The Support section; access the FAQs, Knowledge base and submit tickets

Hopefully the site is easy to use, but we provide access to a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and a ticketed support service. You can always call us too, but please consult the support section first because the answers to most questions are there.

We will look at these new features in greater detail in future posts, but in the meantime please look around the site and let us know what you think.
